Branson's Favorite 50's Diner

Welcome to Cakes-n-Creams 50's Diner & Dessert Parlor...

Stepping through the door of a Cakes-n-Creams Dessert Parlor is like taking a trip back in time to the fabulous 50’s. The local soda shop was the “in” place to meet. James Dean and Elvis posters adorned the walls. High gloss red and black was accentuated with glistening, polished chrome. Holding a place of honor was a Bubble Wurlitzer Jukebox, serving up the hottest top 50 songs; 3 plays for a quarter.

Today, people still love and are intrigued by the 50’s, and the Cakes-n-Creams shops utilizes this to an advantage. Chrome stools, chairs and railings with metallic-flaked material covering the chairs and booths, enhances the 50’s feel. Customers immediately recognize a Cakes-n-Creams location by the unique way we decorate and the colors we use to generate the nostalgic atmosphere. Of course, an important part of the 50’s was the 45 record and we use these as accent pieces throughout our shops.

The Wurlitzer Jukebox, another Cakes-n-Creams trademark, has a special place in our store, just as it did in the soda shops of that bygone era. Today, the jukebox is one play for a quarter (inflation), but even music bargain hunters are attracted to it and the kids love it! Neon is also a very important part of a Cakes-n-Creams decor. Neon is the 50’s. A neon sign or light sculpture brings life to any place you put it. It creates a colorful glow throughout the whole store that lends itself to the ambiance we try to create.
