Our History
The original Cakes-n-Creams was opened in the spring of 1981 in Branson, Missouri. Two young newly weds, John and Cristi Moore, had a vision of creating a dessert parlor offering a selection of dessert items that would appeal to everyone’s sweet tooth served in a fun, 50’s atmosphere. As for naming the establishment, since funnel cakes and ice cream were the main items on the menu what better name could be chosen than Cakes-n-Creams.
As years went by and more desserts were added, Cakes-n-Creams expanded its original concept to become a full-fledged dessert emporium, offering nearly every dessert imaginable. Customer suggestions and preferences inspired many of the ice cream creations, and imagination and experimentation went into the development of the recipes for the wide array of cakes and pies.
Today. funnel cakes are still the most requested menu item and the taste sensation that keeps customers returning year after year. However, the Moores have expanded the menu to include Burgers, Fries, and the Top Ten Pizza System. Served by the slice or carry out.
John and Cristi Moore have spent almost 30 years perfecting the Cakes-n-Creams image. Their commitment to their product is an assurance that when a customer visits a Cakes-n-Creams location and takes the first bite of one of the many heavenly concoctions, they will keep coming back for more.
